RESUMO

ObjectiveTo analyze the online public Q&A texts on HPV vaccine, focus on the important issues related to HPV vaccination and cervical cancer prevention in China, and propose strategies and suggestions. MethodsThe latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) topic model was employed to extract key topics of 15 565 Q&A texts related to HPV vaccines from the social Q&A platform "Zhihu". The Baidu AI sentiment analysis tool was used to analyze the emotional tendencies of the texts corresponding to each topic, and the topics were classified based on the strategic coordinate method. ResultsOnline users focused on eight topics about HPV vaccine information. Among them, vaccination knowledge, HPV vaccination hesitation, and HPV vaccine development and marketing belonged to the low positivity-high negativity emotional topics, HPV infection and high-risk factors belonged to the low positivity-low negativity emotional topics, and HPV vaccine appointment channels, comparison between domestic and imported vaccines, HPV vaccines and cervical cancer prevention, and HPV vaccine types and selection were grouped under high positivity-low negativity emotional topics. ConclusionPublic concerns regarding HPV vaccines can be classified into three major dimensions: health knowledge, health beliefs, and health behaviors. Overall, the public's views and attitudes towards vaccine-related issues are not optimistic. Strengthening science publicity and education, enhancing vaccine supervision, and encouraging enterprises’ innovative research and development capability are effective strategies to improve public awareness of cervical cancer prevention and accelerate the full HPV vaccination coverage.

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo analyze the flavor substances and change rules of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma during the process of nine-time repeating steaming and sun-drying. MethodThe flavor response values of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma samples were obtained by using PEN3 electronic nose system. The data were processed and analyzed by principal component analysis (PCA), linear discriminant analysis (LDA) and Loadings analysis. ResultRhei Radix et Rhizoma processed with nine-time repeating steaming and sun-drying could be effectively distinguished into two categories as the sixth sample was the turning point. The samples steamed and dried for one to five times could be grouped into one category, the other four samples were obviously distinguished from them. The main flavor components reached the maximum response in the sample processed with six-time repeating steaming and sun-drying, and its response value of inorganic sulfur compounds was about 2.7 times that of the sample processed with one-time repeating steaming and sun-drying. In addition, compared with the raw products, the flavors of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma processed with nine-time repeating steaming and sun-drying and wine stewing changed significantly, and the response value of inorganic sulfur compounds in sample processed with nine-time repeating steaming and sun-drying was about 2.2 times that of raw products. From the perspective of flavor analysis, the response values of inorganic sulfur compounds and nitrogen-oxygen compounds in sample processed with nine-time repeating steaming and sun-drying were higher than those of wine-stewed products, and the two were not completely equivalent. ConclusionElectronic nose technology preliminarily clarifies the dynamic change rules of the flavor of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma during the process of nine-time repeating steaming and sun-drying from the flavor characteristics, and clarifies the difference between products processed with nine-time repeating steaming and sun-drying and wine-stewed products from the odor characteristics, which lays a foundation for revealing the processing principle of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma processed with nine-time repeating steaming and sun-drying.

RESUMO

ABSTRACT With the continuous expansion of public health services, the output of sports talents under the existing training mode of sports talents in Colleges and Universities has been unable to meet the market demand of social sports, so it is inevitable to optimize the existing talent training mode. Based on the original "dual system" teaching mode of college sports talents, this study incorporated the LDTA model to optimize and adjust it, so as to establish a new college sports talent training system. In order to prove the feasibility of the new sports talent training system, after analyzing the market economy of the local social sports industry and the basic situation of students, this paper studies the application of the new sports talent training system to the practical teaching of physical education students in 2017 in university X from 2019 to the first half of 2020, and compares the final scores of the students under the original teaching mode and the new sports talent training system. At present, the students' final scores under the new PE talent training system are generally higher than those under the original teaching mode. It is also found that for some practical skills courses, the students' performance under the new PE talent training system is obviously better than that under the original teaching mode. All these results show that the new sports talent training system established by the research is feasible, and has high practical value for promoting the reform of the supply of sports talents in Colleges and Universities and improving the professional skills and knowledge level of sports talents.

RESUMO

A high performance liquid chromatography( HPLC) method was established for the fast, and precise determination of ten nucleosides in Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus and its counterfeits. Then multivariate statistical analyses, such as clustering analysis, principal component analysis( PCA),and Fisher' s linear discriminant analysis( LDA),were conducted to establish a discriminant function model for an integrated analysis. The results indicated that data acquisition time of a single sample was shortened within 16 min by the HPLC method. In the range of 5-1 000 mg·kg~(-1),the mass concentrations of all nucleosides exhibited good linear relationships with the corresponding peak areas( R2> 0. 999). The spiked recoveries were in the range of 93. 83%-108. 9% with RSDs of0. 12%-1. 3%( n = 5). The limit of quantitation( LOQ) was 0. 98-4. 13 mg·kg~(-1). As revealed by the clustering analysis,Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus and the counterfeits could be discriminated into two clusters based on the content of nucleosides. Fisher's LDA could achieve this discrimination, while PCA dimension reduction failed. The accuracy of the discriminant function model established on the screened characteristic indicators reached 97. 5%. The present study proposed a new identification method of Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus with one-dimensional indicators, which is simple, accurate, and reliable. It can provide a scientific basis for further optimizing the identification techniques for Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus and inspiration for quality control strategy development of Chinese medicinal materials.

RESUMO

Microbiological quality of pharmaceuticals is fundamental in ensuring efficacy and safety of medicines. Conventional methods for microbial identification in non-sterile drugs are widely used; however they can be time-consuming and laborious. The aim of this paper was to develop a chemometric-based rapid microbiological method (RMM) for identifying contaminants in pharmaceutical products using Fourier transform infrared with attenuated total reflectance spectrometry (FTIR-ATR). Principal components analysis (PCA) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) were used to obtain a predictive model capable of distinguishing Bacillus subtilis (ATCC 6633), Candida albicans (ATCC 10231), Enterococcus faecium (ATCC 8459), Escherichia coli (ATCC 8739), Micrococcus luteus (ATCC 10240), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 9027), Salmonella typhimurium (ATCC 14028), Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538), and Staphylococcus epidermidis (ATCC 12228) microbial growth. FTIR-ATR spectra provide data on proteins, DNA/RNA, lipids, and carbohydrates constitution of microbial growth. Microbial identification provided by PCA/LDA based on FTIR-ATR method were compatible with those obtained using traditional microbiological methods. The chemometric-based FTIR-ATR method for rapid identification of microbial contaminants in pharmaceutical products was validated by assessing the sensitivity (93.5%), specificity (83.3%), and limit of detection (17-23 CFU/mL of sample). Therefore, we propose that FTIR-ATR spectroscopy may be used for rapid identification of microbial contaminants in pharmaceutical products and taking into account the samples studied

RESUMO

Sexual dimorphism in Homo-sapiens is a phenomenon of a direct product of evolution by natural selection where evolutionary forces acted separately on the sexes which brought about the differences in appearance between male and female such as in shape and size. Advances in morphometrics have skyrocketed the rate of research on sex differences in human and other species. However, the current challenges facing 3D in the acquisition of facial data such as lack of homology, insufficient landmarks to characterize the facial shape and complex computational process for facial point digitization require further study in the domain of sex dimorphism. This study investigates sexual dimorphism in the human face with the application of Automatic Homologous Multi-points Warping (AHMW) for 3D facial landmark by building a template mesh as a reference object which is thereby applied to each of the target mesh on Stirling/ESRC dataset containing 101 subjects (male = 47, female = 54). The semi-landmarks are subjected to sliding along tangents to the curves and surfaces until the bending energy between a template and a target form is minimal. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is used for feature selection and the features are classified using Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) with an accuracy of 99.01 % which demonstrates that the method is robust.

@#Introduction: Non-destructive analysis of biological evidence has been paramount importance in the forensic investigation since it is an effective tool in establishing a standard that could be employed to differentiate ensuing destructive tests of bio-fluids upon sample division between the plaintiff and defendant. Species identification of bloodstain found at the crime scene is very crucial in routine forensic work as this can assist the initial investigation by incorporating or excluding stain that is not human and to identify its origin if animal blood is involved. Methods: In this research, identification and discrimination of various blood species collected from seven domestic animals namely chicken, cow, deer, duck, fish, goat, and pig were investigated using non-destructive analytical techniques; ATRFTIR and visible spectroscopy coupled with principal component analysis and linear discriminant analysis (PCALDA) for classification purposes. Results: ATR-FTIR FTIR spectroscopic study demonstrated a higher rate of successful classification (≥ 90%) as compared to visible spectroscopic technique. Conclusion: ATR-FTIR spectroscopy has been an ideal, robust, and suitable tool for determining the blood species of domestic animals. The predictive model from PCA-LDA analysis can be utilised to produce higher classification rate for species determination from blood traces.

RESUMO

@#Introduction: Accelerants and fabrics are commonly used to spread fire attributable to their highly flammable properties. Hence, having the ability to discriminate the different types of accelerants on various types of fabrics after fire and/or arson using the non-destructive Attenuated Total Reflectance-Fourier Transform Infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy coupled with chemometric techniques appears forensically relevant. Methods: Six types of fabrics viz. cotton, wool, silk, rayon, satin, and polyester, were burnt completely with RON95 and RON97 gasoline as well as diesel. Subsequently, the samples were analyzed by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy followed by Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) for discriminating the different types of accelerants on such burned fabrics. Results: RON95 showed the fastest rate of burning on all fabric types. Results also revealed that while wool had the slowest burning rate for all the three different accelerants, polyester, cotton, and satin demonstrated the highest rate of burning in RON95, RON97, and diesel, respectively. FTIR spectra revealed the presence of alkane, alcohol, alkene, alkyne, aromatic, and amine compounds for all fabrics. The two dimensional PCA (PC1 versus PC2) demonstrated 71% of variance and it was improved by cross-validation through the three dimensional LDA technique with correct classification of 77.8%. Conclusion: ATR-FTIR spectroscopy coupled with chemometric techniques had enabled identification of the functional groups, as well as statistically supported discrimination of the different accelerants, a matter of relevance in forensic fire and arson investigations.

RESUMO

Objective: Poria cocos and Polyporus umbellatus are similar medicinal fungi in traditional Chinese medicines. A method for fingerprint analysis of monosaccharide composition of polysaccharides by HPLC combined with chemometrics methods has been developed for characterization and discrimination of them in this research. Methods: The polysaccharides were extracted by decocting in water, and then completely hydrolyzed with hydrochloride. Monosaccharides in the hydrolyzates were derivatized with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone (PMP) for HPLC analysis. More than 20 batches of P. cocos and P. umbellatus from different regions were analyzed. Results: The fingerprints of P. cocos showed five common characteristic peaks, which were identified by comparing with the reference substances. The five peaks corresponded to the derivatives of mannose, ribose, glucose, galactose, and fucose. At the same time, the fingerprints of P. umbellatus showed eight common characteristic peaks, of which seven were identified as the derivatives of mannose, ribose, rhamnose, glucose, galactose, xylose, and fucose. Moreover, the similarity of their fingerprints was respectively calculated by the Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprint of TCM published by China Pharmacopoeia Committee (Version 2004A). And the data were further processed by hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) and principal component analysis (PCA). The similarity evaluation and HCA indicated that there were no significant difference in P. cocos or P. umbellatus samples from different geographical regions, but PCA was performed to characterize the difference in monosaccharide constituents between P. cocos and P. umbellatus, and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) showed the overall correct classification rate was 100%. Conclusion: The fingerprint analysis method of monosaccharide composition of water-soluble polysaccharides can distinguish P. cocos and P. umbellatus, and can be applied for the authentication or quality control for P. cocos and P. umbellatus.

Abstract: This work proposes a method to characterize the respiratory pattern of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) to determine non-periodic breathing (nPB), periodic breathing (PB) and Cheyne-Stokes respiration (CSR) through non-linear, symbolic analysis of biological signals. A total of 43 patients were examined for their cardiorespiratory profiles, their ECG and respiratory pattern signals were processed, analyzed and studied for parameters that could be of potential use in clinical decision making, specifically in patient classification. Patients in the study were characterized through their cardiorespiratory signals, applying joint symbolic dynamics (JSD) analysis to cardiac beat and respiratory interval durations. The most statistically significant parameters across all groups were identified through a Kruskal-Wallis two tailed test (α = 0.05) and a linear discriminant analysis (LDA) classification method based on such parameters was developed. The best result achieved with this classification method uses 10 features to discriminate patients with a 97.67% Accuracy (Acc). The best features to discriminate among groups are related to cardiorespiratory interaction rather than just respiration patterns alone. Results further support the idea that abnormal breathing patterns derive from physiological abnormalities in chronic heart failure.

PURPOSE: Accurate information is essential in dentistry. The image information of missing teeth is used in optically based medical equipment in prosthodontic treatment. To evaluate oral scanners, the standardized model was examined from cases of image recognition errors of linear discriminant analysis (LDA), and a model that combines the variables with reference to ISO 12836:2015 was designed. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The basic model was fabricated by applying 4 factors to the tooth profile (chamfer, groove, curve, and square) and the bottom surface. Photo-type and video-type scanners were used to analyze 3D images after image capture. The scans were performed several times according to the prescribed sequence to distinguish the model from the one that did not form, and the results confirmed it to be the best. RESULTS: In the case of the initial basic model, a 3D shape could not be obtained by scanning even if several shots were taken. Subsequently, the recognition rate of the image was improved with every variable factor, and the difference depends on the tooth profile and the pattern of the floor surface. CONCLUSION: Based on the recognition error of the LDA, the recognition rate decreases when the model has a similar pattern. Therefore, to obtain the accurate 3D data, the difference of each class needs to be provided when developing a standardized model.

RESUMO

Abstract Introduction The discrete wavelet transform is used in many studies as signal preprocessor for EEG spike detection. An inherent process of this mathematical tool is the recursive wavelet convolution over the signal that is decomposed into detail and approximation coefficients. To perform these convolutions, firstly it is necessary to extend signal borders. The selection of an unsuitable border extension algorithm may increase the false positive rate of an EEG spike detector. Methods In this study we analyzed nine different border extensions used for convolution and 19 mother wavelets commonly seen in other EEG spike detectors in the literature. Results The border extension may degrade an EEG spike detector up to 44.11%. Furthermore, results behave differently for distinct number of wavelet coefficients. Conclusion There is not a best border extension to be used with any EEG spike detector based on the discrete wavelet transform, but the selection of the most adequate border extension is related to the number of coefficients of a mother wavelet.

This study presents experimentally tested methods, which can be used for a quantitative assessment of respiratory sounds as the indicators of pulmonary disorders. In particular, conducted experiments considered both normal and abnormal lung sounds (LS). As a part of the RALE Database, signals were recorded from healthy subjects and those with respiratory disorders. Current medical practices including evaluation of respiratory diseases often involve qualitative and frequently subjective auscultation. However, the application of quantitative signal analysis methods could improve the assessments of these diseases. In particular, we utilized acoustic evaluation methodologies based on the MFCC (Mel frequency Cepstral Coefficients) acoustic vectors representation, GMM (Gaussian Mixed Models), and LDA (Linear Discriminant Analysis). To assure the validity of determined class models representing diagnostic classification, the LS signals were cross validated within sequential sets of respiratory cycles for a given subject as well as cross correlated within the specific groups of subjects representing particular conditions of normal or given class of abnormal pulmonary functions. Higher order MFCC vectors, including 9, 10 and 11 Gaussian mixtures, resulted in improved classification of the LS attributes, reached up to 98% of efficiency recognition. This documented automated classification of LS makes it suitable for a more efficient mass screening of respiratory disorders. In particular, the presence of peculiar sounds such as crackles and wheezes lead to more robust models thus reflecting the useful applicability of the presented diagnostic tool. These techniques can assist in broader analysis, identification, and diagnosis of pulmonary disorders manifested by peculiar auscultatory findings.
